Lleida-Alguaire Airport has received the largest plane that has ever landed in the facility. This is an Airbus 330-200 from TAP airline in Portugal. It arrived last Wednesday November 21st at 15.30 from Boston, with a stopover in Lisbon.
This type of aircraft developed by the Airbus Company is 60 meters long and 59 meters wide, it has a maximum capacity of 380 passengers and it has arrived empty. For this occasion, from Aeroports de Catalunya, a permit has been processed with AESA to allow the landing of this aircraft and, in parallel, a more generic permit is being managed so that the airport can receive this type of airplanes.
The Aeropark and Servitec companies, which currently manage the airport parking platform within the airport, have brought this aircraft for its long-stay parking. The arrival of this A-330 aircraft, located on the Aeronpark platform, adds to the recent news related to the airport, which will be a base for two aircraft of the Portuguese Lease-Fly Charter company at the airport and the implementation of BAA Training a Lithuanian pilot school
